干说不练假把式，咱这就拿英文歌来练练翻译——大学时很喜欢并且听到烂熟的苏格兰民谣《Geordie》，歌词简单又有情节感，挺适合拿来糟蹋。

歌词如下，版权所有，盗版必究。不过比起《加州招待所》的盛唐格调、《斯卡波罗菜市场》的诗经古风，我觉着自己翻译得简直像是押韵些的二人转，orz，不得不说还是挺有差距的：

八卦一下：该歌讲述的故事来自《苏格兰手卷》。但据记载，Geordie在史上确有其人，全名George Gordon of Gight（1512-1562），是詹姆斯四世一个私生女的儿子，拥有爵士封号。他因“对领主Bignet之妻过于亲密”之罪名而被囚禁。Geordie之妻Lady Ann赶到爱丁堡为夫求情（我还以为她该去爱丁堡追杀奸夫淫妇），法官同意释放Geordie，条件是要他亲手杀死妻子（我觉着法官的恶趣味很是变态）。最终Lady Ann选择以死救夫。
总的来说，这歌还算凄美，但历史故事实在是很雷。
